About My Toy Cavoodle

Bringing home a toy cavoodle raises more questions than most people expect, and a lot of what turns up in a search is written to sell puppies rather than to help you decide.

This site exists to answer those questions properly. We cover what a toy cavoodle really costs in Australia once desexing, vaccinations, council registration and grooming every six weeks are counted. We cover what the breed inherits from the Cavalier and Poodle sides, which of those conditions can be screened for before a litter is ever bred, and which widely sold health tests have no predictive value at all.

Every figure we publish is checked against a named source: a state government fee schedule, a veterinary study, a published price list from an Australian clinic. Where something cannot be verified, we say so rather than filling the gap with a confident guess. Where a claim that everyone repeats does not hold up under the research, we say that as well, even when it is the claim that sells the breed.

The aim is simple. If you are about to spend several thousand dollars and take on a dog for the next decade or more, you should be able to find one place that tells you the whole picture, including the parts that are inconvenient.
